Marta Ozog

Originally from Poland, I came to Ireland over 18 years ago. I grew up in a creative family, music, making, and mending were part of daily life, which shaped how I approach clay today.

After training, I worked as a production potter at Arran Street East in Dublin continually developing my skills becoming the ‘Head Potter’. In March 2025, I launched my small pottery business and independent studio with my friend Mahima.

Every piece is designed, thrown, and finished by hand. My current collection reflects over 15 years of learning and making, shaped by the guidance of generous teachers and the communities that have supported me along the way.

About My Practice

I’ve always found it hard to put my thoughts into words, so I speak through my work. Each piece carries the rhythm of my hand. Subtle textures inspired by Braille and gentle forms shaped in porcelain create a quiet, tactile language that invites touch, reflection, and presence.

No two pieces are ever the same. My decoration is inspired by Braille, a tactile language that invites touch. As you hold a mug, you can trace the raised lines and gentle ridges with your fingertips. The base is sanded smooth, giving the piece a soft, finished feel. These small details define my practice, combining precision with care to create objects that feel as good to hold as they are to use.

  • Porcelain

Every piece I make is wheel-thrown in Ming porcelain, decorated by hand with cobalt blue slip, and finished with a transparent glaze, a nod to porcelain’s classic blue-and-white tradition.

  • Decorative

I use each surface as a canvas, hand-decorating it with a form of “handwriting” that is completely unique.
